Yet another of our endemic cephalopods, this is the Hawaiian long-armed sand octopus (Octopus sp 1. undescribed), not to be confused with its short-armed cousin. These amazing little octopi are adept at flounder impressions, flattening their bodies and undulating along the bottom as seen here...
After a few moments, this little one realized I wasn't buying the flounder impression, and begain to puff up and change pattern...(see next photo in gallery)
